Planning for Impacts and Adaptations

The former McGregor Model Forest Association, in partnership with FORREX, the Canadian Model Forest Network, the University of Northern BC, and Natural Resources Canada hosted this workshop at the Prince George Civic Centre, May 17, 2006.  The workshop provided communities with information about how to prepare for the potential impacts caused by climate change, recognize areas of vulnerability, and move towards making adaptations to reduce our risks.

Workshop Proceedings

This report (27 pages) detailing the proceedings for the workshop includes a summary of the presentations delivered and the courtyard cafe sessions.  Appendix A includes a list of selected climate change adaptation resources for communities, and Appendix B includes detailed and edited notes recorded at each courtyard cafe: (4MB pdf ).
