The Northern Climate Change Network (NCCN)

Participants of the workshop “Communities and Climate Change: Planning for Impacts and Adaptations,” held May 17, 2006 in Prince George, embraced the concept of creating a Northern Climate Change Network.  Resources North, then the former McGregor Model Forest offered to be the catalyst for this network, which is intended to continue the connections and linkages that were initiated at the workshop, and to increase awareness about new information, projects, tools, and resources for making adaptations to minimize the effects climate change may have on our communities.

The development of a Listserv and the Climate Change Initiatives webpage are the first actions towards information communication.  While the listserv and website are currently one-way communication tools, the hope is to eventually develop a more interactive forum for discussions.

If you have any questions, would like to be involved, or post event notices, please contact the NCCN Coordinator, Dave Leman at 612-5842.

Please stay tuned for progress on the development of a Northern Climate Change Network.
