Resources North Association is a new society constituted by bringing together the Integrated Resource Management Partnership of Northern British Columbia (the “IRM Partnership”) and the former McGregor Model Forest Association (MMFA). The Resources North Association was formally launched October 2, 2007 at the same time that the model forest program concludes its 15 year history. Natural Resources Canada Minister Gary Lunn has committed $1.5 million through the Forest Communities Program over 5 years to Resources North, providing core funding intended to be matched from other sources such as industry and the Province.
